Before I add anyone to my waiting list you must fill out this questionnaire below. I am very picky about who gets my puppies and want them to transition successfully to their new homes.
I do my very best to match puppies with the right homes!
1) Please tell me about your typical daily schedule. Do you work? Does your spouse work? Who is home during the day? How long will a puppy be alone?
2) Have you owned a Shih Tzu before?
3) Where do you live? (City/State)
4) Tell me about where you live. Single Family home/ condo/ apt/ etc, do you have a fenced in yard? Do you have a pool?
5) Do you rent or own? If you rent does your landlord approve pets/dogs? (it must be specified in your lease)
6) Do you have children? How old are they? Have they ever had a pet or a small breed dog before? Are they familiar with handling pups/dogs?
7) Do you own other pets? Please indicate breed if you own other dogs.
8) Where will your puppy sleep / reside when you are not home?
9) Have you ever given a dog up? If so, why?
10) Have you ever bred one of your dogs in the past?
11) Can you please give me a vet reference.
12) Are you aware of the grooming needs of a Shih Tzu? That they need proper grooming every 6-8 weeks?
13) Do you or anyone in your home have any kind of allergy, or have an allergy to any kind of dog breed?
14) Is your preference male or female?
15) Do you have upcoming vacation plans? If so who will watch the puppy?
16) If you currently have a dog how often do you see a vet? What is your approach to flea and tick prevention?
